FAQs from Primary Schools
Five members of British Antarctic Survey staff contributed to a web chat with three primary schools on April 27 2001. The event was conceived by AngliaCampus, and lasted one hour.
The staff were:
- Dr Phil Anderson (Meteorologist)
- Dr Sascha Hooker (Marine Biologist)
- Dr Chandrika Nath (Glaciologist)
- Dr Julian Paren (Physicist)
- Dr Richard Stone (Environmental Scientist)
The schools involved were:
- Hillside First School, Dorset
- Year 4, Colyton Primary School, Devon
- Class 5, and Stathern Primary School, Lincolnshire
Questions on the following topics were answered:
