Tim Burton School Reports
Tim Burton works for BAS as a Field Assistant, and has been based at Rothera Research Station for over a year. Having spent most of last summer season working at Sky Blu and RABID depot on the Rutford Ice Stream, he is off to work this summer on various projects at Halley Research Station, on the Brunt Ice Shelf, before returning to the UK in April.
Originally a Geography Teacher, Tim left full time education to spend his winters Ski Guiding in the Alps, working as a supply teacher in between and squeezing in expeditions whenever possible.
