My experience with the BAS Archives Service spans 30 years now. It is great working with such an interesting archive and the varied researchers using the collections.
I deal with enquiries, cataloguing the collection, and processing new acquisitions. I am also responsible for development and maintenance of the archives database and have led the BAS contribution to the British Antarctic Oral History Project.
The archive collections are a hugely valuable resource for current and future science, administrative policy and precident and historical reasearch, as well as enabling BAS to meet it's obligations towards information compliance and public accountability.
