Dr. Emilie Capron - Profile
Research Interests
• Temporal and spatial evolution of the Last Interglacial climate (iGlass and Past4Future projects).
• Chemistry measurements on Antarctic ice cores to provide contraints on the past evolution of the snow accumulation rate.
• Ice core chronologies.
• Past climate dynamics using Greenland and Antarctic ice core data, with a focus on abrupt climate variability during the last climatic cycle and the last glacial inception. Synchronisation of bipolar ice cores and analysis of the bipolar seesaw.
• Elementary and isotopic measurements of air trapped in ice (δ15N, δ18Oatm, δ86Kr, δ40Ar, CH4, δO2/N2). Expertise on different air extraction techniques and mass spectrometry measurements.
