Travel and Directions
Gregynog Hall is located near the village of Tregynon, 6 miles north of Newtown in Powys.
Travelling by car:
Directions to Gregynog Hall if travelling by car
Travelling by public transport
Newtown can be reached by rail on the Birmingham – Aberystwyth line.
Travelling by air
Those travelling from overseas might consider flights into Birmingham or Manchester airports, which may make for an overall shorter journey.
Local transport
There is no public transport between the railway station and Gregynog Hall, but we plan to operate a shuttle service at peak times.
For those arriving early or leaving late, a local taxi can be booked. Please note that this will need to be pre-arranged as there is no taxi rank at the station.
If everyone could please give an indication on the registration form if they are likely to need transport from the station, and, if so, their likely approximate time of arrival (trains arrive every two hours, so there are not many to choose from!), we will try to coordinate the transfers. We will send contact details for the taxi firm to anyone that we are unable to meet.
