Halley is being used as the starting point for many different field operations this year, with three main areas:
AGOs - "Autonomous Geophysical Observatories"
CLAMPs - Remote meteorological sensing posts
A Geological Field Party
All of these are being supported by DeHavilland ski-equipped DHC-6 "Twin Otter" aircraft based at Halley and Rothera.
