BAS Club Reunion 2004

The most recent Reunion and 29th AGM of the Club was held at The Edinburgh Conference Centre, Riccarton, Edinburgh on 19 June 2004. One hundred and twenty people attended the reunion: 82 members and 38 guests. Apologies were received from 27 other members at the AGM held in the afternoon. It was a most enjoyable occasion with Fids from many bases and eras present. Five members came from outside the UK to be present.

The Fuchs Medal for 2004 was awarded to Captain Chris Elliot who was reaching retirement age after a very distinguished career as Master of BAS vessels. At the dinner a copy of The Shackleton Voyages was auctioned for the benefit of the BAS Club Benevolent Fund. £60 was raised.
