* Use of e-mail systems
* Basic computer operating skills; using the Microsoft Office suite of programmes.
* Able to read and interpret drawings.
* Fluent in both written and spoken English.

* Use of electronic pre-planned maintenance systems (PPM). (3)
Managing
* Able to plan and manage both time and workload. (3)

* Ability to work either individually or as part of a team.
* Flexible approach to all tasks and duties given. (3)

Qualifications
* Recognised qualification within petrol / diesel fuelled engine maintenance industry.
* Served full apprenticeship or relevant City & Guilds.
Resource Management ability
* Ability to use tools and materials in a workmanlike manner.
* Understanding and experience of the importance of stock control, monitoring and ordering. (3)
Skills / Experience
* Knowledge of engine maintenance.
* Knowledge and experience of light industrial electrical power generators and systems.
* Practical post qualification / apprenticeship experience.
* Experience of pre-planned maintenance systems (PPM). (3)
* Knowledge of power generation control systems i.e. Deep Sea controllers. (3)
* Knowledge of maintenance for small petrol and diesel fuelled plant and equipment. (3)
