The Meteorologisches Institut, University of Bonn, Germany are responsible for processing passive microwave data and derived several meteorological products from these data over the ice-free ocean.
Members of this group have used automatic depression tracking software to examine the movement of synoptic-scale low pressure systems during the SOPs.
