To obtain version 3 of the handbook:
1. Use your browser to go to the site ftp://ftp.nerc-bas.ac.uk/src/Handbook/
2. Download the 30 parts of the handbook named Handbookv3.0.pdf.001 to Handbookv3.0.pdf.030
3. Download and run the file Handbookv3.0.pdf.bat to join the 30 parts into a single file called Handbookv3.0.pdf
You should now have the Handbook pdf file, which can be viewed with Adobe Acrobat. If you don't have this it can be downloaded without charge from www.adobe.com.
