Seaice data from SEALION / Stefan Kern

Data source is ftp://gome5.physik.uni-bremen.de/pub/outgoing/SEALION/. I have only processed the monthly averages.

Here are pictures of the January and September concentrations:

These were produced with:

sk_ct
pp_plot,pp,lev=indgen(101)/100.+0.005,cst=2,cind=17+indgen(100),/blo,/nolines
If you don't have pp_plot, well, I'm sure you can work out what its doing and translate that into you favourite package. You'll also need sk-hice4.rgb.

Here is Jan 1992, compared to Stefans original:

PP Data

The data, converted into PP format at 0.25 degree resolution, is in directory x.01m (which are the multi-year averages, 1992-1999). Each file is 1037072 bytes long. Or, you can have them all, tar'red and gzip'ped: x.01m-all at only 2.2M. A bargain!
