Purpose of Run (long)
This (2003/08/04) probably the best version of HadCM3 plus EVP that I have.
Advice: you will probably have problems making this job run without help...
have a go and good luck.
Tuning: I think that p*=5k and c2d of about 1/20 or 1/10 is about right (the latter needs editing in the code
if you want to change it) or at least as far as is known now.
Downloads and notes
- basis_yacdf
- Mods are available via the link above, except for evp-new1.upd which I make available
to those who ask for it...
- The job will need the basis time reset, and also a hand-edit script run. I recommend automating
this by using Alan Iwi's local-post-processing-scripts mod to the umui. The scripts are:
- change-start4.pl
- mk_evp_script.pl. This script requires:
- mk_evp.pl
- add_iceevp_nl.pl
- There are places in the code that say "CALL swap_1d..." which I have commented out (since I only
run on 2 procs). If you're running on more that about 4 (ie, more that one doing seaice in each hemisphere)
then you need to be using these or equivalent.
And finally... all this is believed to work and be OK. Let me know if you think anything is wrong.
